Made in His Image
Why We Were Given Time at All
Time was never designed to enslave humanity. In the garden it was fellowship, work, worship and rest — and that was the original design.
Before you can steward time rightly you have to know why you were given it. God created mankind in His image — to reflect His character and represent His rule on the earth. Adam and Eve were given purpose, fellowship, responsibility and stewardship. Sin brought death and brokenness into the world, but those were never God's original design for our days.

Tselem can mean a representative image — the visible standing-in for someone unseen. You were made to reflect Him inside time.
Application
What This Means for You
Your time was given for fellowship with God, purposeful work, worship, stewardship and rest — that is the original design, and it is still the healthiest way to live.
Work is not a curse and rest is not laziness. Both were in the garden before sin ever entered.
If your days feel like a treadmill rather than a calling, that is not what God built time for. The design can be recovered.
