Four Covenantal Decrees Over Death

Decree 1

Over the Regenerate Spirit

(Against Spiritual Alienation)

Heavenly Father, I thank You that by the blood of Jesus Christ, my spirit is alive and in unbroken communion with You. I have crossed over from death into life. I am joined to the Lord as one spirit. No demonic darkness, no spiritual blindness, no separation can ever reach my spirit. I am Yours, and You are mine forever. In the mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.

Decree 2

Over the Mind and Soul

(Against the Fear of Death & Torment)

In the mighty Name of Jesus, I break the power of fear, anxiety, and depression over my soul. Christ has destroyed him who held the power of death. My mind is anchored in the peace of God that surpasses all understanding. My emotions are restored by the living Word. I possess the mind of Christ, and the fear of the future has no place in me. Amen.

Decree 3

Over the Mortal Body & Bodily Resurrection Hope

Father, I thank You that the very Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in me and quickens my mortal body every single day. I reject sickness, premature death, and physical oppression. I honor this body as the temple of the Holy Spirit. And I rejoice with confidence in the promise that at the resurrection I will receive an immortal, glorified body like unto my Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Decree 4

Over Death and the Grave

(1 Corinthians 15:55–57)

I declare aloud over my life, my family, and my destiny: O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory? The sting of death was sin, and Jesus paid it all. Thanks be to God who gives me the victory through my Lord Jesus Christ. I shall not die, but live, and declare the wondrous works of the LORD. Amen.
