Meditation
Fear of death is the greatest silent tormentor of humanity. From the first hiss in the garden, Satan weaponized it — using it to keep souls in lifelong bondage, driving people into striving, into desperate grasping, into a slow paralysis behind every ambition.
Then Jesus stood on the road to Lazarus' tomb and said something the grave could not survive:
"I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?"
— John 11:25–26 (KJV)
When you received Jesus Christ and were filled with the Holy Spirit, the uncreated life of God — Zoe — invaded your inner man. Death — the ultimate tool of separation from God — was rendered completely toothless in your life.
Your earthly body will one day be traded for a heavenly one. But your personhood will never taste separation from your Heavenly Father. You are held in an everlasting covenant.
Live today with boldness. Death has lost its sting. The grave has lost its victory. And you are alive forevermore in Christ Jesus.
Reflection Questions
- Where is the fear of death showing up in your life right now? (Not always as fear of dying — often as anxiety, striving, or grasping.)
- Speak John 11:26 aloud, substituting your name: "[Your name], whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die." What rises up?
- Which of the three realms (spirit, soul, body) most needs the truth of Zoe today?
Prayer
Father, thank You that I have already passed from death to life. Thank You that Your uncreated Zoe fills my spirit right now. Break every grip fear of death has on my mind and body. I declare that I am alive forevermore in Christ Jesus. Amen.
For the Kingdom. Amen.
