Now Is the Accepted Time
One of the enemy's most effective strategies is simply to pull your mind out of today — regret for yesterday, anxiety about tomorrow.
Children of God are not to sleep spiritually while the world stays distracted by temporary things. Waking up means rejecting laziness, compromise and careless living — refusing to spend your days merely entertained, merely busy, merely anxious, merely offended. Yesterday is under God's mercy. Tomorrow is under God's sovereignty. Today is the place of obedience.

Both instances of "time" here are kairos — this is the appointed opening, and the word "now" is doing the heavy lifting.
Application
What This Means for You
Yesterday is under God's mercy. Tomorrow is under God's sovereignty. Today is the place of obedience — and the only one you actually hold.
God gives grace for the day He has given. He does not hand you tomorrow's grace today, which is exactly why carrying tomorrow's burden feels impossible.
Waking up means refusing to spend your days merely entertained, merely busy, merely anxious, or merely offended. Watch and be sober.
